Snow Has Fallen .....

Ok ...ole' man winter hit us today much to the kids delight.

School was cancelled and therefore we had no choice but to bunk in and relax.
Movies, snacks, videos topped off with a fashion show or two from Miss Alycat.
Who by the way, we discovered is a hoarder.

Despite the fantastic winter so far ......we are looking forward to heading here in about a month and a half .....

Well, half of our family that is .......

Yup, Bugsy and Alycat are staying home .....and as much as we will miss their little faces .....

Ahhhhh .....the "torture" will be worth it .....

We've just had to promise that we will bring home gobs of Cuban candy for them :)

Can't wait for this adventure to begin ......

We took part in Winterfest ( more like mud fest) this year and despite, the mud and mild weather, had some fun.

Better late than never !
Last Sunday we spent a terrific evening with all of the China adoptive families that we are connected with here in the city.
It was lovely.
As always, great food and great friends.
Terrific to see the girls (& boys) grow and interact together.
It's been three years since we first met ......
Time sure flies !

Chinese New Year

kicked off in our house last night with great friends.

We stir fried, pan fried, chopped and diced , flipped, steamed and toasted !

Awesome !

Sweet and Pork, Peking Duck, Spicy Beef on Noodles, Spring Rolls, Chicken balls ( Ben's request), Chinese Tea and fortune cookies.

It's not over yet.

Today, Miss Alycat and I visit with her China sisters here in town to once again, to celebrate the year of the Tiger.
